MARIE JOSE POUX, Director and Founder Marie Jose Poux is a native of Haiti who now works and resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a hospice nurse who makes several trips a year to her native country to work with orphan children whose parents are unable to care for them. She travels to Haiti at her own expense and with whatever donations she can get to Haiti, and she distributes these donations to the orphanage. The orphanage has been fully operational for the last seven years through Marie Jose's commitment and dedication to the children. When donations and the kind charity of others are unavailable to the children, Marie Jose Poux has gone into her pockets to provide for the needs of the children. She is in need of a greater community support effort. Marie Jose Poux also owns an art gallery, and she features authentic Haitian Artwork by Haitian artists living in Haiti. Monies received from the sales of Haitian Artwork go to the artist to help them support their families. Hope For Haitian Children Foundation, Inc.
